Customer Mailbox: Twice as nice!

As always, we love to hear from our satisfied customers. Thanks to Barb, who recently sent a note to Don Ayres Honda president Sara Ayres about her SECOND great shopping experience. Thanks also to everyone who takes the time to keep in touch with us via Facebook, Twitter, email and good ‘ole fashioned snail mail. Keep those letters coming!

Although I don’t usually take the time to write a note after purchasing something, I really wanted to let you know about our experience with Don Ayres Honda.

First of all, the sales agent … Andy Hitzemann. We purchased a new Honda Civic for our son several years ago from Andy. He was friendly, knowledgeable, professional, yet personable. He made the dreaded car-buying experience bearable. Our son is still driving his Honda today.

In December, we gave my minivan to our older son and his family. Now it was my turn to find a new vehicle. We looked around for several months at different dealerships because although I knew I wanted an SUV, I wasn’t sure which one fit our needs the best. I can’t tell you how much a sales agent or manager can affect whether you want to buy a car or not. There was a car I was interested in (at another dealership), but I walked away because of the sales team.

When we came to Don Ayres, we asked for Andy. So grateful he was there to walk us through all the options, features, etc., with the CR-V. He knows his cars inside and out! He was able to compare the CR-V with other SUVs we were looking at. He didn’t put down the other cars or dealerships like most salesmen we encountered. He stated facts and just made honest comparisons.

Unfortunately, I had been ill the past several months and couldn’t make it out to Don Ayres when I wanted to. Andy offered to bring me a car to look at. Who does that??? He was never pushy, which we appreciated. Bottom line, I think he is a very kindhearted person who really seems to enjoy helping people find the right car. He takes a lot of pride in his job and it shows. His knowledge about the car we were interested in was impressive.

When we made our final decision to get the CR-V, I thought, OK, now the manager will come in and it will get stressful. I believe his name was Rick Squires, and he was just as nice as Andy. Jarod Burgess walked us through the warranty and was friendly, never pushy, and worked with us to add extra protection for the vehicle as well as an extended warranty. I have never from start to finish had such a wonderful experience with a car dealership. We’ve recommended to our family and friends to go to Andy in the past because of the way we were treated. Second time around was even better! EVERYONE we dealt with made our car-buying experience a positive one.

You are very blessed to have such an incredible sales team working at Don Ayres. We are officially Don Ayres fans and I’m sure we’ll see you again in the future.
