Celebrate Fall Car Care Month by making sure your car is ready for winter weather

October is Fall Car Care Month, and with winter approaching, it’s a great time to make sure your car is ready for snow, sleet and ice.

Remember, when it comes to taking care of your car, it’s a lot easier to be proactive. Putting off routine maintenance can lead to costly repairs that always seem to come at inopportune times. (Why is that anyway?)

The Car Care Council recommends the following:

1. Check all fluids.

2. Check hoses and belts.

3. Check the battery and replace if necessary.

4. Check the brake system.

5. Inspect the exhaust system for leaks and damage.

6. Check engine performance.

7. Check the heating, ventilating and air conditioning system.

8. Inspect the steering and suspension system.

9. Check the tires, including tire pressure and tread.

10. Check the wipers, headlights and brake lights.

Think you’d like to bring your car in for a service check? No problem. As always, you can schedule online or via the Don Ayres Honda mobile app.
