Winter weather reminder–check your tire pressure!
Fact: Pressure in your tires is more likely to decrease during winter weather.
The culprit? Cold temperatures.
Be on the lookout for your car’s tire pressure indicator (pictured here). If you see this light illuminate on your car’s dashboard, it’s time for a quick check.
A few things to keep in mind:
- Use a quality air pressure gauge.
- The proper tire pressure levels for your vehicle can be found in your car’s owner’s manual or on the inside of your driver’s side door.
- When adding air to your tires, be sure not to overfill. Having too much air can be dangerous, too.
- If the air in one of your tires is visibly low, check your tires — even if your car’s tire pressure indicator hasn’t illuminated.
Remember … good tire pressure ensures good gas mileage, makes your car handle better and reduces the risk of blowouts.

Nice post…..It is important to check the tire pressure monthly, as changes in temperature can cause pressure to drop.Tire tread should be more than two thirty seconds of an inch deep on all of the tires tread. To find the vehicle correct tire pressure we can look up the owners manual or the manufactures placard inside the driver side door.
