Tire Failure

If you’ve ever had a blowout, you know it can be a pretty scary thing. That’s why it’s a good idea to think about what you’ll do BEFORE you find yourself in the midst of an unexpected driving emergency.

  • For starters? Don’t panic. (We realize this is easier said than done.) Do your best to stay calm and remain in control of the situation.
  • Avoid coming to a screeching halt. Slamming your brakes could easily throw your vehicle off-balance. Instead, gradually release your accelerator and reduce your speed in a slow, controlled manner.
  • Adjust your steering as needed. As your car begins to slow down, gradually steer it toward the side of the road.
