Time for a Fall tune-up

October 18th, 2010 by

The leaves are changing, which means cooler temperatures are just around the corner. Now’s the time to make sure your car is in good working order.

Check tire pressure
It’s common for tires to lose pressure over time, so take a few minutes to check and fill your tires every few months. (Find the appropriate PSI level for your tires in your owner’s manual or on the inside of the driver’s side door.)

Flush and refill
Fall is a good time to check your radiator for leaks and low fluid levels. And, depending on the recommendations in your owner’s manual, it may be a good time to flush and refill.

Tune your engine
If you haven’t had any routine maintenance done for a while, it’s time to schedule an appointment. Get into the habit of fixing little problems before they become bigger (and more expensive).
