Making a difference

One of the things we’re most proud of here at Don Ayres is our longstanding tradition of giving back to our community. We are thrilled to offer support in the following ways:

• We are the title sponsor of Don Ayres Little League. In addition, we made a substantial contribution toward the installation of outdoor lighting at the league’s ball diamond.
• Don Ayres Honda is an annual sponsor of the Indiana University-Purdue University basketball program.
• We make regular contributions to the Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Fund.
• For more than 25 years, we provided Pontiac vehicles for use by driver education programs at area high schools.
• We donate money to the Vera Bradley Foundation, which helps fund breast cancer research.
• We regularly donate money to the YMCA of Greater Fort Wayne scholarship program, Junior Achievement, the Boy Scouts and Canterbury School.
• We donate a variety of goods and services to area schools and churches.
• Don Ayres supports numerous local charities through the Fort Wayne New Car Dealers Association. Our membership fee is based on yearly sales figures, and it includes significant contributions to these charities.
• Vice president Sara Ayres currently serves on and the finance committee at Canterbury School. Previously, she has served on the Fort Wayne/Allen County Economic Development Alliance and the board of managers at the Jorgensen YMCA.
