Summer vacation season is just around the corner. If you’re planning to head out for a little getaway, make sure your car is ready for the journey before you hit the road.

Pre-vacation car care checklist:

• Rotate tires and have them inspected
• Check brakes
• Top off or change fluids (oil, coolant, brake and transmission)
• Change any light bulbs that aren’t working
• Replace worn windshield wipers
• Wash car, inside and out
