Is your car ready for Spring Break?
Fort Wayne’s annual mass exodus is just around the corner, as winter-weary residents head off in search of sunnier skies. (Sure, it was a pretty mild winter, but many area residents tell us that they’re still planning a Spring Break getaway.) Before you go, make sure your car is ready to hit the road. Here are a few things you can do to keep your travels trouble-free:
- Have your oil changed before you leave town, especially if you plan to put a significant number of miles on your car.
- Check the air pressure in your tires. You can usually find recommended air pressure levels in your owner’s manual or on the inside of your driver’s-side door.
- If it’s been a while, take your car in for a routine maintenance check. If you’ve had one recently enough, pop the hood and give your engine a once-over. It’s never a bad idea to make sure everything is working as it should be.
- Make sure you have your auto insurance card in your car and/or wallet.
Best wishes as you embark on your springtime journey! Take your time and be safe! And hey — send us a few pictures when you get back. We might even post them on our Facebook page!
