Car-smart resolutions

If you’re like many Americans, you’ll ring in 2012 with a list of inspired resolutions. Eat smart, stay fit, keep finances in check … you know the drill.

As you prepare to travel down Resolution Road, we urge you not to forget your beloved car! (Hey … it gets you where you need to go!) Keep these smart strategies in mind as you head into 2012, and you’re sure to enjoy the ride!

• Get your oil changed, and keep up with other routine maintenance.
• Slooooooow down! (No one wants to pay off a speeding ticket, right?)
• Keep your eyes on the road. (Don’t text, put on makeup or chow down on your favorite fast food meal when you’re behind the wheel.)
• Toss trash and remove other unnecessary items from your car and trunk on a regular basis.
