Beware of ghosts and goblins!

As you make your way around town on Thursday evening, be on the lookout for pint-sized witches, cowboys, superheroes and more!

Trick-or-treaters will hit the streets in Fort Wayne between 6 and 8 p.m. Click here for trick-or-treat times in other area communities.

If you happen to find yourself driving through a Halloween “hot spot” while little ones are on the prowl, play it safe and follow these driving tips:

  • Slow down, and don’t pass stopped vehicles. Parents of trick-or-treaters may stop frequently as kids climb in or out of their cars.
  • Avoid using your mobile phone. This is certainly a smart driving strategy any time you are behind the wheel, but it’s especially important on Halloween.
  • Be on the lookout for children who may dart in front you. In all of their excitement, little ones may forget common safety rules.

Bottom line: be extra careful as you make your way through town, and everyone is sure to have a wonderful and safe Halloween!
