Are you ready for an emergency?
No one likes to think about the worst, but the truth is, emergencies can happen to anyone – even you. The most important things to keep in your car are water, food and a warm blanket. In the event of an emergency, you’ll have the basics covered.
Beyond that, what you add is up to you. Certainly, the more you have stowed in your trunk, the better prepared you’ll be if you end up stranded somewhere on the side of a road. Here are some things to consider:
- A poncho (or two!)
- A flashlight
- Light sticks or emergency candles
- First Aid items
- A utility knife and/or other tools
In addition, we urge you to use good sense. The ability to think on your feet may be the best “tool” you take on your next road trip.
