A cleaner car — inside and out!
You may not have time to wash and wax your car on a regular basis, but if you’re like most car owners, you certainly know when it’s time to stop at a car wash and give your car a quick bath.
What about the inside of your car? Is there trash on the floor? When you offer someone a ride, do you have to move piles of assorted treasures so they can sit comfortably? Or – be honest here – are there French fries lurking in various nooks and crannies?
Here, we share a few quick tips that will help you keep car clutter under control:
- Get in the habit of removing trash daily. Get rid of those empty soda cups and gas station receipts!
- Don’t let things pile up. When you arrive home at the end of the day, be sure to remove everything that doesn’t require a permanent residence in your vehicle. Ideally, kids’ backpacks, shopping bags and magazines should be carried right back into the house. (Easier said than done, we know!)
- Keep a microfiber cloth in your glove box, and wipe down your dashboard when you have a few minutes to spare. (What else are you going to do while you wait for your child after dance/soccer/swim practice?)
- Finally, consider keeping a container of wet wipes in the car, too. These come in handy for all sorts of quick spills.
