How to Connect to Apple CarPlay®

Let’s learn how to connect Apple CarPlay. You first must make sure that your phone is at least an iPhone 5 or higher. This might be why you may find Apple CarPlay not connecting. So, to set up CarPlay, just navigate to settings, Siri and Search, and activate Siri. Now let’s take a look at some of the other steps to connect Apple CarPlay:

1. Find the CarPlay USB port and plug in your phone. This port should have the CarPlay logo on the port. 
2. If you have Bluetooth, you can just go to settings, general, CarPlay, Available Cars, and select your vehicle from the list.
3. Turn your vehicle on and leave it running. 
4. Activate Siri and ask what you need to do next by using the Voice Control button on the steering wheel, or holding the CarPlay Home button on your infotainment screen until you see Siri appear. 

How to Connect to Android Auto™ 

Learning how to connect Android Auto is quick and easy. However, you must be running Android 5.0 or newer for your phone to be compatible with Android Auto. Let’s check out how to connect Android Auto:

1. Activate Android Auto in the settings section on the infotainment screen.
2. Install the Android Auto app on your phone from the Google Play store. Next, plug in your phone to the USB, and you’ll be alerted to install the app.
3. Open your phone
4. Read over the Safety Information and Android Auto™ permissions.
5. Enable notifications for Android Auto™.
6. Choose Android Auto on the infotainment screen.
